Our darling daughter Alia would be #myfirststartup

In theory there may have been many other startups in my life. But this is the one that’s most deserving of them all. The truth is nothing prepares us for the 24/7 challenges of parenthood. And exactly like a startup, we just got to take every day as it comes and be prepared to commit to extremely long hours in the early days.

While we’ve heard many couples say, we’ll take it as it comes; we believe the rules to having a baby and starting a startup are the same. It’s better to be planned and financially sound, as a substantial amount of money is needed to ensure everything works out comfortably especially when we’re becoming a parent for the first time. There’s enough reason for stress as it is just before a baby is born, the last thing we need is to be stressed for money.

Also just like a startup all the reading up and knowledge in the world won’t prepare us enough, we just have to be open-minded and ready to adapt to requirements as and when they happen. And the funny thing is just when we think we’ve handled a situation well, a new challenge crops up. So it’s a challenging life ahead. But oh, so rewarding at the end of the day. When we look back at how far we’ve come, we’re filled with nothing but pride at what we’ve achieved.

Truth be told, I wouldn’t want to alter even one single experience from #myfirststartup and would more than happily do all this, all over again.
